NaNoWriMo–National Novel Writing Month. A yearly challenge for writers. Write 50,000 words or 500 pages within the month of November. Who’s up for it this year?
NaNoWriMo.org is where you need to go for more information! I ain’t here to spoon-feed you. If you already know what it is, then I don’t need to summarize. And if you want to know more, then you have enough Internet access and motivation to read about it on their official website.
I have done NaNoWriMo every year since and including 2008. Yes, even with school. It’s honestly really hard. But you should do it. Yeah, I’m a few days behind on posting this, but crap happens. Been busy NaNoing it up.
The general word goal per day is 1,667. I normally get behind later in the month (if I don’t start off that way…), so I’m taking the initiative to start off way ahead.
My word counts thus far are the following:
November 1st: 2,375
I’m probably going to add more to today’s stuff since I’m not ready to sleep yet, so the count for the 3rd is going to be a bit low. But still. See? I’m starting off on a good foot.
If you haven’t started yet, it’s not too late to catch up. Don’t lose hope!
How’s your word count going?
