A Query

One of Kurt Vonnegut’s rules for writing short stories is that it should be apparent from the beginning what will happen at the end, so much so that if the last pages were to be blown away, then you would be able to guess what would be on those pages.

What are your thoughts on that? I really like Vonnegut’s rules, but I don’t know if I agree with that one. What do you think?
