Spring is finally here so here are some spring inspired words to use in your writing! ✿

  • aromatic (adj.): having an aroma; fragrant or sweet-scented 
  • bombinate (v.): to make a humming or buzzing noise
  • breard (n. or v.): Scottish word for the first shoots or sprouting of grain

  • budding (v.): to put forth or produce buds; to begin to develop 
  • diaphanous (adj.): very sheer and light; almost completely transparent or translucent
  • echt (adj.): real; authentic; genuine
  • efflorescence (n.): the state or a period of flowering
  • ephemeral (adj.): lasting a very short time; short-lived
  • erumpent (adj.): bursting forth 
  • florid (adj.): reddish; ruddy; rosy
  • frondescence (n.): the process or period of putting forth leaves, as a tree, plant, etc.
  • irenic (adj.): tending to promote peace or reconciliation
  • iridescent (adj.): displaying a play of lustrous color like those of the rainbow
