Oh, sorry! I figured it was apparent when I said I was on the asexual spectrum. I believe that asexuals do belong in the LGBT+ community. While I myself am hesitant to put myself in the category specifically because there is a lot of hatred directed toward the asexual community, I believe we should at least be given a chance.
We experience similar issues that other people in the community do. Something that happens to gay, etc., people: “You just haven’t found the right guy/girl yet.” It’s the same thing that is said to asexual/aromantic people. There’s a lot of common ground.
It’s hard to tell people about it, because everyone just says that asexuals are simply prudes. So I keep my mouth shut most of the time.
Yeah, people don’t generally get killed or physically attacked for being on the asexual and aromantic spectrums, but we are still basically considered abnormal in comparison to traditionally straight people.
So my stance is that asexual and aromantic people belong in the MOGAI community and that exclusionists need to see that they are doing the same things they denounce.
I hope this clears up the matter, and thank you for asking!
