Are there other terms I could use for feminine/masculine energies?
I don’t feel comfortable using the gendered pronouns for things like that. They really seem to be rooted in sexism. I don’t agree with soft, gentle, nurturing, quiet, etc things to be “feminine” and loud, strong, bright, assertive things to be “masculine.” It just doesn’t sit well with me.
Is there anything else I could use in place of those terms? I just can’t think of what else to use!
Receptive and projective energy. Or things that give or receive energy. Instead of masculine and feminine think more proton and electron. An atom needs both, just like every human needs and works with both sides of energy. And sometimes the state of balance. The wand and athame point and direct. The chalice receives, because that’s sort of the job of a chalice.
